Government has released over K900,000 for the expansion of Nyathanda and Moses Luneta secondary schools in Chavuma District of North-western Province.
Chavuma District Commissioner Lawrence Kayumba said the funds released will facilitate the construction of 1 x 3 classroom block at Nyathanda and Moses Luneta Secondary Schools respectively.
Mr. Kayumba told ZANIS that part of the funds will also be channelled towards the building of one staff house at Nyathanda and Moses Luneta respectively.
He said the construction works at the two schools will commence soon adding that the development clearly shows government’s determination to improve the education sector.
The two learning institutions were recently upgraded to secondary schools.
