Voting starts on a low turnout in Kabwe in selected polling stations

Voting started on a low turnout note in Kabwe with fairly long queues of people seen waiting to cast their vote.

 

A check by ZANIS at some selected polling stations revealed that some polling stations had recorded over 50 voters casting their votes by 06:45 hours.

 

At Christian Care Center polling station in Lukanga Township 50 out of the 1276 registered voters has cast their vote by 06:45 hours and the Presiding Officer Nelson Chinyeu said voting was progressing well.

 

At Helen Kaunda polling station the Presiding Officer Francis Zulu said over 100 voters had cast their vote by 08:00 hours out of the 1045 registered voters at the center.

 

And at David Ramusho were there are 655 registered voters, over 70 people had cast their votes by 08:00 hours according to presiding Officer Pamela Zulu.

 

Meanwhile at Kasanda Community polling station, 121 voters had cast their votes out of the 560 registered voters by 06:45 hours.
