Presidential candidates have made their last appeals for votes as presidential campaigns officially closed at 18:00 hours ahead of tomorrow’s presidential election.
Addressing a mammoth rally at Woodlands stadium this afternoon PF President Edgar Lungu says he will deal with UPND President Hakainde Hichilema if he loses the election and refuses to accept the election outcome.
Mr Lungu says he will not hesitate to enforce the law against any law breaker if he does not accept the election result.
He wonders where the votes will come from for Mr Hichilema to win the election when he does not have people.
And UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says after 3 years of what he described as the PF anguish no one should be allowed to divide the country again.
Addressing a mammoth rally in Mandevu this afternoon, Mr Hichilema says the three years of the PF has brought hunger in the country.
He says Zambians want to have cheaper mealie meal.
Mr Hichilema says Zambians across the country do not want to have anything to do with the PF anymore.
And MMD President Nevers Mumba has assured the people of Zambia that he will actualize the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation when elected president in tomorrow’s presidential election.
Dr. Mumba says he will actualize the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation by ensuring that the day is made a public holiday and involve the clergy to conduct prayers across the country to honor God for what he has done for the country.
Dr. Mumba notes that the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation will not only be on paper in his government but will be in the hearts and lives of the people of Zambia.
He notes that the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation is very important.
He adds that the declaration of the country as Christian nation should not only be remembered when the country is facing some challenges or has serious problems but that every Zambian should have it at heart.
Dr. Mumba further states that when the declaration is actualized, the people of Zambia will begin to be mindful of their conduct, thereby portraying the Christian values of the country.
