Mwinilunga receives ballot papers
Mwinilunga , January 15, 2015, ZANIS…….Mwinilunga district of the Northwestern province has received its consignment of ballot papers for all the 64 polling stations in the January 20 presidential elections.
District Electoral Officer Mwansa Mfula said the district is now set for next week Tuesday’s presidential poll following the delivery of all election materials by the Electoral Commission of Zambia to the area.
ZANIS reports that Mr Mfula who is also Mwinilunga District Council Secretary said this in an interview with ZANIS shortly after receiving the ballot papers yesterday.
He said the distribution of ballot papers and other election materials will commence on Sunday 18th January, 2015 adding that in areas such as Ndalu, Lukokwa and Salumbinga the materiasl will be airlifted due to the impassable road network.
Witnessing the arrival of the ballot papers in Mwinilunga district yesterday were representatives from the United Party For National Development 9UPND) , Patriotic Front (PF), Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD), members of the Civil society and the media.
Mwinilunga Constituency has 46,132 registered voters with 64 polling stations.
