Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary Bwalya Ngandu has bemoaned the lack of business registration institutions in Mafinga district.

Dr Ngandu said the absence of a Patents and Company Registration Agency  (PACRA) in the newly created district is hampering the formation and development of business organizations.

He appealed to PACRA to quickly set up an office in the district to facilitate the speedy registration of companies to support enterprise development.

Dr Ngandu observed that a lot of enterprises in Mafinga were failing to access finances and missing out on a number of business opportunities because they are unregistered.

He also called upon the local authority to speed up the establishment of council offices so that they could also register business ventures for various youth and women organizations.

Dr Ngandu said entrepreneurship was vital for achieving economic development through the creation of employment and wealth for the country.
