China has promised to continue supporting Zambia in preserving the existing bilateral monumental structures and historical features of the two countries.

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Hang Youming said this is aimed at sustaining the legacy of the founding fathers who worked tirelessly in strengthening the two countries’ bilateral relationships for the past fifty years.

Mr. Youming noted that the existing bilateral historical features and monumental structures were a catalyst of a continued bilateral relationship for the future generation.

He said this in Lusaka today during the handover of two hundred and ten thousand Zambia China fifty year’s diplomatic relations commemorative postal stamps to the Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST).

The six featured commemorative stamps, which were printed in China, depict pictures of former Presidents Kenneth Kaunda and the late Michael Sata’s visits to China, the Tanzania Zambia Railways Authority (TAZARA), the New Heroes stadium, the Great Wall of China and the Victoria falls.

And ZAMOST Acting Post Master General Alex Muyeye described the gesture as the true cultivation of the existing fifty years bilateral relationship between China and Zambia.

Mr. Muyeye also said the new postal stamps will further spread the existing strong bilateral, economic and trade relationship between China and Zambia both locally and internationally.
