—The ruling party in the North Western Province has thanked Acting President, Guy Scott, and PF president, candidate Edgar Lungu, for reconciling.
PF North Western Province Deputy Campaign Manager, Richard Taima, says the reconciliation by the Head of State and the Defence and Justice Minister will give more encouragement for the people to vote for Mr Lungu at the forth coming presidential election.
Mr Taima, a former Cabinet Minister in the Rupiah Banda administration, said the entire North-Western province has endorsed and is behind the candidature of Mr Lungu.
Mr Taima was speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today.
“I thank the Acting President Dr Scott and Mr Lungu for reconciling. We in North Western province have endorsed the candidature of Mr Lungu,” Mr Taima said.
He said the province is now capable of producing a third or more members of parliament from the current two MPs.
The region current has got two legislators, namely convicted Mufumbwe MP, Stephen Masumba and his Zambezi West counterpart, Christabel Ngimbu, while others are opposition UPND and MMD law makers.
The Deputy Campaign Manager assured that the PF presidential candidate would amass more votes and emerge victorious on January 20, 2015.
Mr Taima said the opposition presidential candidates were just wasting their time and resources in this presidential campaign because the ground is ripe for Mr Lungu.
