—Government has commended the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) for their positive contribution to the country’s economic development.
Minister of Home Affairs, Ngosa Simbyakula, said the Zambia Air Force has made a positive contribution in preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation.
Mr Simbyakula noted that the nation is slowly attaining the middle income status because of the security being offered by the Zambia Air Force in various economic sectors.
The minister said this when he officiated at the 2014 Zambia Air Force Golden Jubilee Ball held in Lusaka last night.
And Mr Simbyakula said government is committed to improving the conditions of service for the Zambia Air Force.
And ZAF Commander, Eric Chimese, thanked government for embarking on the construction and rehabilitation of staff houses for the Air Force.
Gen Chimese said the development has greatly motivated the men and women in uniform.
