UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has pledged to find financiers to investment in the tourism and fish industries in Luapula owing to the massive water bodies in the Province.
Mr Hichilema said during a rally in Chienge that there is need to find investors who will put to good use the large water bodies in Luapula.

“Luapula has a lot of potential in terms of tourism and fishing industries. We need to find investors in these sectors who can set-up state-of-the-art lodges and hotels so as to create employment for the local communities,” he said in a statement issued by his party.
Mr Hichilema and his entourage, who arrived in Chienge to a thunderous welcome on Thursday, were met by former Minister of Finance Katele Kalumba and some senior traditional leaders.
The UPND leader also said that there is need to combat the problem of mosquitoes and tsetse-flies that are causing human and animal diseases.
He also paid a courtesy call on Senior Chief Puta of the Bwile people who blessed him before having a private conversation with him.
Mr Hichilema further met the sub-chief and more that 50 headmen from the entire Bwile land.
The headmen complained that the Patriotic Front (PF) has allegedly been very vindictive in the manner it has been handling matters of traditional leadership in the country.
Mr Hichilema is also scheduled to meet more than 40 political leaders from PF and MMD in the area who have pledged to campaign for the UPND.
He is later expected to travel to Mwansabombwe, Nchelenge, Kawambwa and Mporokoso, before Chinsali, Mpika, Kasama and Luwingu this weekend.
