USAID donates drug storage shed
Luwingu, December 9, ZANIS- USAID has donated a drug storage shed to the Ministry of Community Development Mother and Child Health in Luwingu district of Northern Province.
Presenting the donation on behalf of USAID, Ministry of Health data officer Fred Tembo said the 14x 5 meters storage capacity shed was given to the district hospital to alleviate the storage problem the hospital has been facing to store drugs in the district.
Mr. Tembo said that USAID has been donating drug storage facilities to district hospitals to enable the community access quality drugs at any given time when they visit the hospitals.
He said that the modern storage unit has also been given to other areas like Sibuunji, Livingstone, Choma and Lusaka chawama, kanyama and chipata compound.
And receiving the donation on behalf of Luwingu district hospital, District commissioner Mambwe Katontoka said t the Patriotic Front government will continue working hand in hand with cooperating partners to ensure that the community access quality health services.
