UCZ Clergy hails development works
Mwansabombwe, December 8, 2014, ZANIS–United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Luapula province presbytery Bishop Samuel Mwambazi says the work of the church has contributed to the development of the nation.
Bishop Mwambazi said this at Mbereshi Mission of Mwansabombwe district during the UCZ’s Golden Jubilee celebrations held at Mabel Shaw Girls’ secondary school.
He says the UCZ has a robust programme to enhance development in the nation apart from the work of God citing agriculture, education and health services.
Bishop Mwambazi says the church’s involvement in agriculture, education and health activities is supplementing government efforts hence enhancing development in the country.
Bishop Mwambazi has appealed to the Clergy and all christians in Luapula to work together to bring development in Mbereshi Mission.
The Bishop has also appealed to Christians to embrace the Golden Jubilee by leaving a mark for the benefit of the young generation in the area.
Meanwhile, Bishop Mwambazi has expressed happiness that he was serving as Bishop of Luapula Province at the time the UCZ is celebrating the Golden Jubilee from 1965 t0 2015.
