THE Government has launched the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Lusaka.
The 2014 GEW, which is being commemorated under the theme, “Unleashing Ideas, with the aim of promoting the culture of entrepreneurship among citizens,” was launched by Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Robert Sichinga on Monday.
Mr Sichinga called for innovation as a critical component to the growth of entrepreneurships and the promotion of productivity of new goods for both local and export markets.
He said in a speech read for him by the Acting Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary Cathy Mkala that the Government was aware of the dynamism of the current business environment and was determined to assist entrepreneurs.
He said the government would continue creating business and policy environment that enable entrepreneurs to have access to affordable finances.
