Kasama residents welcome road machinery

—–Kasama residents have welcomed the procurement of earth moving equipment by the local authority.

Kasama Municipal Council has procured machinery worth over K2.2 million to be used on repairing and rehabilitation of roads in the area.

The residents spoken to said people have had a lot of difficulties in transporting goods to various destinations because of the bad state of the roads.

They said the procured equipment will undoubtedly go a long way in ensuring that major roads, including some feeder roads, were worked on.

They said this will help the local people especially farmers to transport their goods and merchandise to the market easily.
