NATIONAL Revolution Party (NRP) president Cosmo Mumba says he will contest the January 20, 2015 presidential election because he is “ripe” and the right person to carry on from where late President Sata left.

Dr Mumba said in an interview yesterday that President Sata groomed him to participate in the 2016 general elections but that the wrangles in the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) have prompted him to contest next year’s presidential election and to carry on with Mr Sata’s dream of developing Zambia.

“I am physically, mentally, economically, financially, socially and spiritually ready to contest, win and run the country. I am ready to rule Zambia,” Dr Mumba said.
