UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has assured the people of North Western Province that he will develop their area using its rich natural resources.
Mr. Hichilema has told them that he will also ensure equal distribution of wealth in the province.
Mr. Hichilema says it is unacceptable that despite the rich mineral wealth and other natural resources in the area, the province has remained poorly underdeveloped because successive governments have neglected the people. hh kneeling at rally
He has assured the people of North Western Province more jobs and the new constitution before 2016.
The UPND leader has also pledged support to farmers and investment in agriculture, reduced cost of living, better education and healthcare and improved governance.
Mr. Hichilema has meanwhile described as a drop in the ocean the reduction of petrol by 25ngwee, diesel by 28ngwee and Kerosene by 27 ngwee for the poor because the cost of living has over the years grown too high.
He has however encouraged the people of Zambia to vote for him as President of Zambia on January 20 so that he can better manage the economy and improve their livelihood.
Mr Hichilema says there is need to cut down on unnecessary expenditure instead of continued borrowing which could mortgage the country.
Instead of continued borrowing, Mr Hichilema says there is need to seriously support local businesses to grow.
He says to achieve these targets, there is need for unity and continued peace, and has committed to unite the country once elected president.
Mr. Hichilema, who has since concluded his “Zambia United” tour on the Copperbelt, and in North Western province, is now in Mongu campaigning.
