A Patriotic Front (PF) official in Kaputa district has urged PF members to show loyalty to the party and not trust in individuals.
PF Kaputa District Chairperson, Dickson Chomba said putting the interest of the party first will help the party remain strong even after members’ preferred candidates fails to make it for the party presidency.
Mr. Chomba observed that the high number of aspirants for the PF top jobs shows diversity of members stating that this also has a potential to divide the party especially if members put trust in individuals.
He said members should be willing to support any presidential candidate that will be adopted to stand on the party ticket in the January 20th Presidential elections.
He added that all the losing presidential candidates should also be willing to support the person that will be adopted by the party.
Mr. Chomba said this in an interview with ZANIS in Kaputa today.
He has also reiterated the district’s support for Defence and Justice Minister, Edgar Lungu as the party’s candidate for the elections.
Meanwhile, the Kaputa PF official said the party in the district is ready for the election slated for January 20 next year.
Mr. Chomba said the party is only waiting for the party to choose a candidate before it can embark on a campaign to recapture the presidency.
