TWENTY people escaped unhurt in the early hours of yesterday after a Namibia-bound Volvo luxury coach on in which they were travelling caught fire.
The incident happened about 7kms from Mazabuka town.
Mazabuka district commissioner Eugene Munyama, who was at the scene, said the 48-seater Highway Trackers bus registration number N79996W caught fire at Kapinga, a few kilometres from Pama meat butchery.
“The bus, which was heading to Windhoek, Namibia, has been burnt to ashes but thank God all the passengers are safe but their luggage has been gutted.
“As I speak, the luggage compartment is all burnt and the cause of the fire is unknown” Mr Munyama said.
