THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS AND OUR POSITION AS NAREP
On behalf of and with the blessing and endorsement of my Party, the National Restoration Party, and on behalf of every person that believes in their heart that God has a special mission for our nation on earth, I am pleased to present myself as a candidate to be sponsored by NAREP in the presidential election that will be held following the death of Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata.
This is not a decision that has been taken lightly, nor one that has been taken without careful prayer, reflection and wide consultation. It is a decision that understands the complications of our fractured politics and does not close the door to initiatives that would meet the wishes and aspirations of the Zambian people for an outcome that preserves our peace, conserves our resources and unites our common purpose – to give true freedom to every Zambian alive and unborn, to be masters of their own destiny.
We call upon every Zambian that wants to see our nation revived; that wants to live in peace and prosperity; that wants God to be the telling influence in our choices, to join our campaign to deliver our people to the promised land. To join our campaign to allow others to live in a way that they can afford to put food on their tables, send their children to school, have access to clean water, quality health and own their businesses. To deliver to our people a promised constitution. This must be our top priority.
To all our supporters and those that wish us well my message to you is let us continue to volunteer, let us make contributions in any way we can, let us commit to making a difference, not because of what we can personally benefit from being involved but because it is our way of repaying the debt we all owe to our country – to leave it a better place than we found it. Who knows what God may have in store for us? Maybe we are here, at this time in our history, to meet the demands of a time such as this.
That is my dream and that is my wish. I for one, am determined to rise and to be equal to this task and I ask you, the men, women and youth of our nation, to join me.
I thank you and may God’s grace be with Zambia as we forge a path for our future together in this year of our Jubilee.
