Thieves today took advantage of the requiem mass for late President Michael Sata at National Heroes Stadium to steal side-mirrors from cars parked in the main car park as the owners of the vehicles attending the mass.
A number of car owners were shocked to find their vehicles had been stripped of side-mirrors at the end of the proceedings at the stadium.
A QFM pool vehicle was not spared as it had both its side-mirrors stolen by the thieves who seemed not to mind about the occasion taking place at the stadium.

The affected motorists complained considering that the car park was considered a safe designated parking place.

They have since appealed to relevant authorities to ensure there is tight security at the stadium’s car park because people will be afraid to park their cars during football matches.
