PF grateful for peaceful mourning
Kawambwa/12th November, 2014/ZANIS……The Patriotic Front (PF) in Kawambwa District has highly praised its members in the area for the good manner they have conducted themselves during Late President, Michael Chilufya Sata’s mourning period .
The ruling party has also praised Kawambwa residents for support, the out pouring of sorrow, as well as the high levels of unity that had been exhibited.
PF Kawambwa District Chairperson, James Kalumba says the Party feels encouraged to know that it has remained intact despite the loss of its Leader.
ZANIS reports that Mr. Kalumba said this in an interview after watching the burial proceedings of President Sata on ZNBC Television at the Kawambwa District Council Chamber yesterday.
He said the unity and support exhibited by PF members, Civil Servants, the Clergy, and the general public is testimony of how popular Mr. Sata was.
Mr. Kalumba said the popularity enjoyed by the Late President was a result of his hard work and his desire to uplift the living standards of all Zambian, especially the poor in society.
He said there is need for individuals aspiring to take up the mantle of taking over the Leadership of the Party and that of the Country to carry out self introspection.
Meanwhile, thousands of Kawambwa residents yesterday thronged Saint Mary’s Secondary School and Kawambwa District Council Chamber to watch live proceeding of Late President Michael Sata’s burial.
The grief stricken residents wailed uncontrollably when the President’ s casket was lowered in the ground at the Embassy Park in Lusaka.
