Mourners from all walks of life today trooped to Mulungushi International Conference in Lusaka to pay their last respects to late President Michael Sata as today marked the end of body viewing for the general public.
A check by QFM News crew at Mulungushi International Conference Centre today found a queue of people had lengthened from outside the main gate of the conference centre, while other people were still flocking to the centre.
The late President’s remains have been lying in state in the main conference hall of the Mulungushi International Conference since 1st November 2014.
President Sata’s body will be taken to Parliament tomorrow where a special session of Parliament will be held for Parliamentarians to pay their respects.
The body will thereafter be taken to State House where it will lie in state before being taken to National Heroes Stadium on 11th November where a requiem mass will be held in honor of the late President before burial at Embassy Park the presidential burial site.
