—The Anti-Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) in Luapula Province has called on people in the area to mourn the late President Michael Chilufya Sata with dignity.
AVAP Luapula Provincial Coordinator, Michael Mwale, said the ruling party members should put aside their differences and instead mourn the late with the honour he deserves.
ZANIS reports that Mr Mwale said the death of the President should bring harmony to the Patriotic Front members by giving Mr Sata a dignified send-off.
He Said the Anti-Voter Apathy Project in Luapula Province is still devastated with the loss of late President Sata’s death as the nation has lost a true leader who championed unity in the country.
Mr Mwale said the late President was a gallant leader who will be greatly remembered for his vision to develop the country.
He pointed out infrastructural development as one area that the late President wanted to change the country.
He cited the building of the 650 Health Posts throughout the country and the Link Zambia 800 as some of the projects that the late President initiated in infrastructural development in the three years he had been in power.
He said whoever will take over from him should critically look at the plan that President Sata left especially the Link Zambia 8000 as it will make doing business cheap in the country.
Mr Mwale appealed to all Zambians to be united regardless of their political affiliation during the time of mourning.
