President Sata’s death a demise to the political fraternity – Chilukuta

Nchelenge, Nov. 5th, 2014, ZANIS —– FORMER Nchelenge District Council chairperson and PF founder member Able Chilukuta has described President Michael Sata as a political genius.

Mr. Chilukuta says the demise of President Sata is a great loss to the country’s political fraternity.

He said he has lost a parent and political mentor who nurtured him socially and politically.

He noted that President Sata was not only a political genius but a father figure who inspired many socially and politically because of his irresistible charming character.

Mr. Chilukuta who reigned as Council chairman between 2006 and 2010 said he received the death of the PF founding father and Zambia’s fifth republican President with shock.

He said Zambia has lost an honest and gallant political genius who championed the call for public good especially for the poor and vulnerable groups in society.

He observed that President Sata was a down to earth politician who valued human life and tailored his political agenda on equitable access to development that would benefit the poor.

Mr. Chilukuta won the first PF council seat throughout the country during the 2001 elections in a then MMD Nchelenge dominated Council Chamber.

He also served as Provincial chairperson for the Local Government Association of Zambia, Luapula Chapter between 2006 and 2010.
