Chilubi Member of Parliament Obious Chisala has appealed to health workers in the area to develop a positive work attitude towards patients.
Mr Chisala who is also Gender and Child Development deputy minister urged the health workers to instead show love and kindness when treating patients so that they could work in harmony .
ZANIS in Chilubi reports that Mr Chisala was speaking at Santa Maria First Referral Mission hospital in Chilubi yesterday when he distributed 30 wheelchairs donated by the Zambia Children International of Lusaka.
Mr. Chisala who is also Gender and Child Development Deputy Minister said the donation was aimed at improving health service delivery to the public in the area.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chisala also urged health workers at the institution not to be portraying a negative attitude towards patients during their execution of duties.
He further advised that workers should instead develop a good heart when treating patients and work in harmony with everyone at the institution.
Speaking at the same event, Sister-In-Charge Brendah Chembo said the donation had come at a right time when the institution was facing a big challenge of wheelchairs.
She further assured the donors that the institution will use the wheel chairs for their intended purpose .
