Barclays cup semis draw conducted
Lusaka, October 8, ZANIS–Barclays Bank Zambia has pledged continued commitment in uplifting the standards of football in the country through supporting major tournaments.
Barclays Bank Country Marketing Manager Erick Ngondo said his bank will ensure that Zambian football is developed to match the international standards.
Ngondo reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting the prestigious Barclays Cup tournament as one way of enhancing football in the country.
He was speaking at Football House in Lusaka today during the 2014 Barclays cup semi final draws.
Nkana has been drawn against Konkola Blades while NAPSA will take on ZESCO United in a double header encounter on October 18 at Arthur Davies stadium in Kitwe.
Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi faces his former side Blades who finished as runners-up in the 2011 Barclays cup while Nkana has never reached the Barclays Cup finals.
Record three-time champions Zesco United will face 2012 winners Napsa Stars in the lunchtime semifinal kickoff.
