A MAN of Simwatachela village in Zimba, Southern Province who masqueraded as a Bread of Life Ministries bishop and allegedly administered suspected poisonous “holy water”, which killed a congregant, has handed himself over to Kalomo Police Station.
A fortnight ago, Geoffrey Simaubi of Chief Simwatachela’s area in Zimba, died after consuming the “holy water” administered to him by “Bishop” Paul Ndhlovu, who bolted after the incident.
Mr Ndhlovu produced “holy water” while preaching and allegedly gave it to the villagers to drink.
Southern Province commissioner of police Mary Chikwanda said yesterday that Mr Ndhlovu handed himself over to police on Saturday and confessed to police that he is not a clergyman.
