President Michael Sata has thanked the people of Zambezi West, Vubwi and Mkushi South for coming out resoundingly to vote for the Patriotic Front and its candidates in the Thursday parliamentary by elections.
President Sata said the crushing of MMD and UPND in the three parliamentary by- elections reinforces the PF government’s commitment to distribute development in all parts of the country.
The Head of State said the people in the three constituencies have with certainty rejected opportunism and meaningless political rhetoric in preference for national development and unity.
President Sata has also congratulated the opposition MMD and UPND for winning the Kasenengwa and Solwezi Central parliamentary by-elections respectively.

And the PF in Northern Province has through its Secretary Everist Chela also congratulated its candidates in the Zambezi West, Vubwi and Mkushi South for emerging victorious in the just ended parliamentary by elections.
In the Thursday parliamentary by elections, the ruling PF scooped Mkushi South, Vubwi and Zambezi West seats while the UPND got the Solwezi Central and MMD won the Kasenengwa seat with the largest margin.
