—Government says it will continue investing in the health sector to ensure sustainability of the nation’s human capital.
North-western Province Minister, Nathaniel Mubukwanu, says government recognizes health as one of the priority sectors that contribute to the well-being of the nation.
Mr Mubukwanu said this in a speech read for him by Provincial Permanent Secretary, Amos Malupenga, when Airtel Zambia donated bed linen worth K15, 000.00 to Solwezi Urban Clinic today.
Mr Mubukwanu has since called on companies operating in Solwezi to emulate the mobile service provider by investing in local communities.
Meanwhile, Airtel Zambia national distribution manager, Wyson Lungu, said his company will continue complimenting government’s efforts in the provision of medical services to the Zambian people.
Mr Lungu said his company is committed to finding meaningful ways of ploughing back some of its profits into communities through its “We Care” initiative project in order to contribute to national development.
And Solwezi Urban Clinic Nurse in Charge, Olive Samazaka, thanked Airtel for the donation and said the gesture will go a long way in addressing the shortage of linen at the clinic.
