Lusaka to host Turkish culture at Alliance Françoise
Lusaka,3rd September, ZANIS—The Turkish Embassy says Lusaka will be exposed to Turkish culture through a series of Turkish events lined up this month.
According to a statement made available to ZANIS in Lusaka today by the Turkish Embassy, a Turkish Guitarist Bill Karaman and his crew will on September, 9, 2014 have his musical event at the Alliance Françoise at 19:30 hours.
Mr Karaman’s music has been defined as ethnic jazz, experimental or fusion and that he also puts gypsy Manouche guitar style with Alla Turca spices together which it is said will be a unique experience of a different kind of music.
The Yamaha jazz Guitar award winner and his crew aims to carry the Turkish music to a different level using model melodic motives, modern melodies and improvisations in his compositions.
Meanwhile the Turkish films will be screened for the first time in Zambia from the 12-13th September, 2014 at the Alliance Françoise in Lusaka.
And the Turkish Embassy will hold a “UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Turkey” exhibition of the photos of Osman Nuri Yuce from 18-29th September 2014 at the Lusaka museum.
13 places out of the thousands in Turkey are listed by UNESCO as world Heritage sites and photographs of 11 of the 13 sites will be exhibited.
