Zambia Schools Sports Association (ZASSA) vice president Martin Bwembya has expressed confidence in the under 13 and under 17 teams carrying the day ahead of the Confederation of School Sports Association (COSSA).
Bwembya stated that the Zambian teams have prepared adequately by playing friendly games with other teams.
Zambia is scheduled to host and participate in COSSA games which will run from August 28 to 31 this year.
Speaking to ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today, Bwembya said four countries namely Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland and Zimbabwe have so far confirmed their participation.
Bwembya said the tournament will attract participants from mainly primary and secondary schools, adding that the participating teams for various sports disciplines are under the age of 13 and under 17 boys and girls.
The games that will be played in different venues in Lusaka will feature various sports disciplines like Football, Rugby, Netball, lawn Tennis, Volley ball and Basketball.
Bwembya said the major sponsors of this tournament are Ministry of Education whikle others are Manzi Valley and Copperbelt Energy in
