Agriculture and Livestock Minister Wylbur Simuusa launches a “Loan Cow” scheme initiated by ZANACO bank. The scheme is to enable Zambian small scale farmers and emerging farmers to access finances through dairy loans. The ceremony took place at the Golden Valley  Agriculture Research Trust farm in Chisamba on Friday, August 22nd, 2014

“Those cows were purchased in South Africa and re jersey X frizone breeds , were quarantine prior to the delivery and are insured. An animal price varies between 11 and 13 thousand kwacha and it must being paid back between 36 to 60 moths”!
