Increased funding cheers national youth council
Solwezi, 7 August, 2014, ZANIS………The national youth council has commended government for the increased budgetary allocation to the institution since January 2012.
National youth council chairman Saviour Chishimba says because of the prevailing political will the council is now able to extend its operations to all the 10 provinces in the country.
Mr Chishimba who is also former Kasama central Member of parliament was speaking at the prelaunch of a one-stop youth center in Solwezi yesterday.
He said the council has so far spent over K300, 000 in the ongoing expansion of the institution.
Mr Chishimba said the one stop youth center in Solwezi will among other things provide internet facilities for young people to access information on various issues pertaining to youth development.
Meanwhile, Vision for African Youth Initiative official Moses Kangwa has advised youths in the Northwestern province to be proactive and take advantage of the facility to better their lives.
