UCZ Concerned about rising levels of social ills
Kalulushi, August 4TH, 2014, ZANIS ——–The Kalulushi Consistory of the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) says it is concerned the moral decay the country since the declaration of a Christian nation.
The Kalulushi Consistory of the United Church of Zambia Chairperson Reverend Fridah Kamana says the church was concerned that levels of corruption, adultery, gender based violence and other social ill were on the increase, since the Christian nation declaration .
Rev. Kamana has however advised citizens to live in harmony with one another and with God .
ZANIS reports that the UCZ Consistory chairperson said this in an interview in Kalulushi District, today.
She said as the country celebrates its golden jubilee of independence, the nation should redeem itself through the Christian principal of forgiveness, restoration and tolerance.
She further said that Jubilee Celebrations re-affirmed everyone’s identity as a United Country, One Zambia One Nation though the people were of diverse background.
Reverend Kamana noted that restoration, rest and total stability should be up help by all political parties and all groups in the society.
And Kalulushi PF Chairperson Nathan Chileshe said he was impressed that the Christians were talking about love.
Mr. Chileshe urged the people to continue working in harmony and pray for the Republican President Michael Sata so that he could continue developing the Country.
He said that the Church should also pray for the leaders in PF for them to continue working hard for the people of Zambia.
