— Govt. reiterates commitment of church on constitution

—-Government has reiterated its commitment in engaging the church when addressing important national issues.

 

Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba says government will continue engaging the church in coming up with a people driven constitution.

 

Mr Kabimba stressed that government will not allow individuals champion homosexuality to hijack the constitution making process.

 

The minister said this in read on his behalf by Mines Deputy minister Richard Musukwa during a church service at St Peters United Church of Zambia congregation in Kalingalinga Township, today.

 

He explained that PF will continue to engage the church as it has the same values such as homosexuality.

 

Mr Kabimba who is also PF Secretary General said government is fully aware of the critical role the church plays in addressing various economical and social issues affecting various communities.

 

The minister said PF government remains determined in fostering mutual relationship with the church in a bid to up lift the plight of the Zambians.

 

Later the minister donated 10 thousand kwacha towards the completion of the reverends house.

 

Speaking earlier fundraising convener Elena Kwanza said the fundraising venture was instituted with the aim to complete the reverends house.

 

Ms Kwanza said the proceeds of the fundraising venture will go a long way in making the reverends house more habitable.
