—North-western Province Permanent Secretary, Amos Malupenga, has called on people in the province to appreciate the efforts that government is making in delivering services aimed at improving their lives.
Mr Malupenga said it is unfair for people to claim that nothing is being done when government is making frantic efforts to deliver through the many projects it has initiated in the province.
He said there is need for people to be patient as not all expectations can be met at once.
Mr Malupenga said this in Solwezi when he received the water drilling rig that government has procured at a cost K2.9 million for drilling boreholes in the province.
And speaking earlier, Assistant Director in charge of ground water at the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development, Simon Kangoma, said his ministry is hopeful that the equipment will benefit rural communities if properly utilized.
Mr Kangoma said the water drilling rig equipment is part of the six that government procured recently.
