Police arrest ‘randy’ Kabompo teacher for rape
Solwezi, July 25, 2014, ZANIS…..Police in Kabompo have arrested a 33 year- old teacher of Kabompo Secondary School for allegedly raping a 17 year- old pupil of the same school.
The suspect has been identified as Brian Kalala of Antioch compound in Kabompo district.
North-Western Province commissioner of police Eugene Sibote confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Kabompo today and that the incident happened yesterday around 20 hours.
Mr Sibote said the teacher allegedly enticed the girl to his house where he had unlawfully carnal knowledge of the pupil while others pupils were left studying in class.
He said after the act, Kalala escorted the victim back to class where she later revealed what had transpired to her friends.
Mr Sibote said it was her friends who reported the matter to Police and Kalala was apprehended and charged accordingly.
He said the victim was taken to the hospital for examination where it was discovered that the she had sustained bruises on her private parts which confirmed the evidence of rape.
