The five, that were arrested for various offences, removed the burglar bars of the window and escaped unnoticed by Police.

“The escape is believed to have happened between 19:30 and 23:00 hours. The incidence was noticed during the change of shifts at 23:45 hours,” Mr Mulenga said.
The five that escaped were Paul Mulenga, Bernard Chama, both of Shishibeti Village and facing charges of house-breaking and theft.
The others were Bernard Kalumba of Shinjoni Village, facing a charge of malicious damage to property and Michael Mwila of Chandwe Village facing a charge of using insulting language.
