As NAREP we are saddened by the loss of a gallant man in the name of Chief Mukutuma of the Lamba speaking people of Lufwanyama District.
We have lost a man who was a unifying factor amongst his subjects and other Chiefs within the region. Our visit last month to his palace brings back memories of a leader who looked after his subjects, motivating and encouraging them with traits of hard work, self reliance and productivity.
We appeal to the people of Lufwanyama to remain united and loyal to the throne, culture and to one another. Today 9th July 2014, as we put to rest our Chief, our Leader and our father, Chief Mukutuma, may the things he stood for resound in people’s minds so that our mourning should reflect on a better future as his vision of developing Lufwanyama continues.
On behalf of my President Mr. Elias Chipimo Jr, and on behalf of the entire NAREP family in Lufwanyama, in Zambia and around the world and indeed on my own behalf, we extend our condolences to his widowed wife, children, the House of Chiefs and indeed the people of Lufwanyama. May His Soul Rest in Peace.
