Luwi mission hospital gets face-lift
Mwinilunga, July 9, 2014, 2014, ZANIS..Government through the Ministry of Health has released K500,000 for upgrading infrastructure at Luwi Mission Hospital in Mwinilung’a district.
Health Deputy Minister, Chitalu Chilufya said government will this year recognize Luwi Mission Hospital as a first level health institution hence the need to upgrade infrastructure to match the status.
Dr Chilufya disclosed this when he called on Mwinilung’a district Commissioner Irene Mate over the long week-end.
He said the funds will go towards the upgrading of the mortuary, x-ray and kitchen facilities, adding that more staff will also be deployed to the institution to improve service delivery.
Dr Chilufya further disclosed that another K200,000 has been released to refurbish Mwinilung’a district hospital.
He said in a bid to improve health service delivery, government will construct nine health posts in Mwinilung’a district to ensure adequate and equitable access to quality health services.
