-PF Feira Member of Parliament (MP) Patrick Ngoma says the Amoru / Kavulamanja road once tarred will spur development in Luangwa district.
Mr. Ngoma who expressed happiness at the development said in addition to this, the upgrading of the feeder roads in his area would open up the district to economic prosperity.
Mr. Ngoma said this after touring and inspecting the 18-kilometre Amoru/Kavulamanja stretch road, today.
The MP told ZANIS in an interview in Luangwa District today that more bore holes, health centers and schools would be constructed along the road.
The Feira Legislator said a good road network is vital to accelerating development.
He commended Government through the Rural Road Unit (RRU) that is carrying out the repair road works.
Mr. Ngoma, who is Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Deputy Minister, said the PF Government prioritizes infrastructure development.
The Deputy Minister said the PF Government is on track in developing not only Feira constituency but the country as a whole.
And Luangwa District Commissioner (DC) Euine Mumba challenged the RRU Engineers to make a good road and desist from compromising the works.
Mr. Mumba said he would not allow shoddy works in his area because government was spending huge sums of moneys to construct capital projects like roads.
The DC who is the Supervising and Controlling Officer of government projects assured that he would monitor the road repairs including other projects to the latter.
