Professor Luo cites the case of a Mr. Kapotwe who traveled to Chiengi district in Luapula province with intention of ousting Chief Puta claiming to have been gazetted by the Head of State.
Professor Luo has told a media Briefing in Lusaka June 9th that there are Laws in Zambia under which the country is governed, warning those abusing the word Tradition to desist from doing so.
The Minister says she will not tolerate anyone going round abusing the word tradition and purporting to be Chief.
She explains that the position of Chief is governed under the Chiefs Act Chapter 287 of the Laws of Zambia Cap 287 and prescribes who qualifies to be Chief in Zambia and also what happens to anybody purporting to be Chief when they have not been recognized by the Laws of Zambia under the Chiefs Act.
And asked whether Henry Kanyanta Sosala the Chitimukulu designate is among those purporting to be Chiefs, Professor Luo stated that as long as one is not recognized by the Head of State, they should be visited by the Law enforcement Agencies.
