Parliamentary public accounts committee (PAC) Chairperson Vincent Mwale says there is need for stiff punishment against people who abuse public resources.
Mr Mwale, who is also Chipata’s Chipangali Member of Parliament, observed that it is unacceptable that some government workers have continued to abuse public funds with impunity.
He has since recommended that the embezzlement of government funds be seriously taken as a criminal offense.
