Police in Livingstone are holding a twenty-four year old man for allegedly raping his fifty year old aunt.
Kelvin Simutili of Siakacipa village in Musokotwane area in Kazungula district is alleged to have forced his way into his mother’s elder sister’s house where he forced himself on her.
Southern Province Deputy Commissioner of Police Milner Muyambango has confirmed to ZNBC News in Livingstone that the incident happened last week.
Mr Muyambango says the suspect is being held at the Livingstone central police station and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, police in Livingstone are hunting for unknown assailants who shot a 37-year-old man at Batoka market on Thursday.
The victim identified as Walter Mudenda was shot at his shop between 21 and 22-hours and died in the early hours of Friday at the Livingstone General hospital where he was rushed.
The deceased was shot on the right collarbone with an unknown firearm and bled heavily.
The criminals went away with groceries from the shop and an undisclosed amount of money.
