Body found floating on a stream in Nakonde District

The body of an unidentified man was found floating in a stream about 100 meters from a named pleasure resort in Nakonde District.

Muchinga Province Police deputy commissioner Bonny Kapeso confirmed the development in an interview, today.

Mr Kapeso says police officers in the area found the body of a man who is believed to be in his 30 s yesterday.

The deputy commissioner said the body had no physical injuries but police suspect strangulation since his body was found naked.

Mr Kapeso said a pair of jean trousers believed to be the deceased man’s was found about 10 meters from the scene.

 The body is currently at Nakonde district hospital mortuary awaiting.

The Deputy Commissioner said the police suspect foul play and a docket of murder have already been opened and no arrest has been made.
