Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Minister, Yamfwa Mukanga, has revealed that ninety percent of the works at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingston have been done.
Mr. Mukanga says the only thing remaining is the construction of the VIP lounge before the structure is ready for commissioning.
Mr. Mukanga has told QFM News in an interview that the PF government wants to ensure it boosts the tourism industry by improving related infrastructure.
He adds that the government wants to see to it that the country has better airports and other infrastructure so as to improve the aviation industry.
Mr Mukanga hopeful that the remaining works at the airport will be completed soon in readiness for commissioning.
