DEFENDER Nyambe Mulenga is ineligible to play for Power Dynamos against his parent club Zesco United this Saturday.
Nyambe is currently on a season-long loan deal at Power from Zesco, whom he joined this past February.
Zesco chief executive officer Justin Mumba said striker Patrick Kabamba who is also on loan to Power will not play against them this weekend.
“Nyambe is on loan from Zesco to Power and there is a clause that they are not eligible to play against Zesco United,” Mumba said.
“Both Nyambe and Patrick Kabamba are on loan so they are not eligible.”
And another Zesco player midfielder Tom Bakala was also missing from Roan United’s team when they faced Zesco on April 20 in a game that the latter won 2-1 in Kitwe.
“It is just the same with Tom Bakala who is on loan to Roan United he too was eligible to play,” Mumba said.
“You cannot have your own player play against you.”
Zesco and Power clash in a first-versus-second league showdown of the top two unbeaten sides this season at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Power lead the table on maximum 15 points from five games and three points ahead of Zesco who have a game in hand. – Supersport
