Chinese contractors in the province outperforming local contractors

Northern Province minister Freedom Sikazwe has challenged local contractors in the region to change their work culture if they are to compete favorably with foreign contractors.

Mr. Sikazwe told Mano News that it is saddening to note that contracts being undertaken by the Chinese contractors in the province are far much ahead of those given to local contractors.
He warned that his government will not condone local contractors that are sluggish and shoddy in doing their works.

Northern Province minister said this yesterday shortly after he toured some projects which included roads, Chambeshi water and Sewerage Company’s water reticulation project in Location and Mulenga Hills, new nurse’s hostels at Kasama General Hospital and a High School under construction in Kasama’s Musa village.
