Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba says Zambia’s life expectancy is expected to continue increasing in the coming years due to Government’s interventions in the health sector.
Last month, a report titled Population Projections Report by the Central Statistical Office revealed that Zambia’s life expectancy is expected to increase from the current fifty one to sixty one years in 2021.
Mr. Kalaba says the building of health posts, the upgrading of current health centers will improve people’s living standards.
Paul Shalala reports that Mr. Kalaba said this when he toured Senama Clinic this morning.
As part of his Easter gesture, the Bahati Member of Parliament donated baby hampers to women who delivered this morning and some expectant mothers.
He also toured the new maternity ward and mothers’ shelter which government is constructing at the health clinic which is one of the busiest in Mansa.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kalaba on Sunday morning toured four new bridges across the Kamipundu stream which was constructed by the Road Development Agency.
