United Party for National Development (UPND) has appealed to inspector general of police Stella Libongani to arrest the suspected cadres that harassed Mr. Hakainde Hichilema’s entourage.
UPND presidential adviser William Banda has told Qfm news that it is unfair that no seriousness has been shown by the police to arrest the culprits.
Mr. Banda says it is the responsibility of the police to protect all Zambians regardless of their political affiliation.
Mr. Banda stresses that there is no need for cadres to begin confronting each other instead of concentrating on delivering the message of hope to the majority Zambians.
He adds that police should also allow the opposition political parties to hold meetings freely without any interference.
