Jacob Mulenga is set to become a free agent in the summer as he has yet to extent his deal with Utrecht.
The 30-year-old has been at the Stadion Galgenwaard since 2009 but it may well be that he severs his ties with the club at the end of the current season.
The Zambia international hit-man has been a prolific marksmen in the Eredivisie and it was thought that he would be offered new terms at the club.
But, with no deal in place by the cut-off date of April 1, it seems likely that he will be on his way in the summer.
Both Nottingham Forest and Wigan Athletic have been linked with the former Chateauroux star but it remains to be seen if they will rekindle their interest at the end of the campaign.
